General Laws
I. Absolutely NO major character (meaning: any primary character played by a living person) will be "killed" by another. We can't really judge who wins role play battles. It would have to be arranged between the two role players in advance for story effect. Otherwise dictating that another character dies at your character's hand is GOD MODEING and that is not permitted.
II. No God Modeing; which means to act autonomously without any care for the fairness of rules or sensible balance in individual character abilities. You may not assume you have killed another, wounded another or effected another before they have had a chance to reply in character. Adverse effects are determined between the two players out of character in chat. Socialize.
III. Allow questioning and review. If you enter our domain then you enter a realm of intellectual creative writing. If another player asks for clarity for a post that YOU submitted then it is your responsibility to do so. If you need to edit a post because you got over-excited that's totally okay. Just don't get mad if you confuse someone with a scrappy post.
VI. Follow the order of entry. Introduce your real self FIRST, create a character SECOND, and then go role play.
V. Follow the chain of command. If a character or staff member has more authority than you then you simply must accept that you will be expected to adhere to their guidance. Otherwise you will stand out in a negative manner. Don't be that person.
VI. Bickering happens but it should NEVER become petty or abusive. If this happens then staff will take action and it could result in both people getting kicked out.
VII. If you are granted staff privileges then you are held to a higher standard. If we have staff conversations and you are left behind, you should ask questions to catch up or become more active as needed. If your staff and inactive for a prolonged period of time you will be changed back to regular member status.
VIII. Plagiarizing is not permitted by any means. Whether brought in to Vampire Monarchy or taken from it. Our ideas must remain original and each treated as sacred. If you plagiarize and we find out, you get kicked out.
IX. Stay out of private or VIP threads. Common sense. If your character isn't invited there and caught, then it's up to the owner of that domain on how to handle it (sensibly). If you get mad because the domain owner kicked your character in the face, well then... think before you post? Otherwise if they auto-kill your character just report it to staff and we will see what all happened. In general... just don't do this please.
X. Upon entering specific role play locations, please first post in the "entry" threads. They are there for a reason. A character can not automatically warp into the location. If there are entry rooms, please FIRST post there. They should be pinned for your convenience. Not adhering to this could result in deleted posts.
Staff Laws
I. If you are granted a position in our Staff, then you are expected to maintain this role with integrity. Do not lie to or deceive members.
II. Do not delete threads and posts indiscriminately. If you are leaving the forum, you are to depart gracefully without deleting any threads or posts. This is a malicious selfish act which will ensure you remain banned and your name placed on a wall of shame.
III. As a staff member, at least one of your characters must also play an important leadership role. Whether that be a Royal, Duchy, County, or Knightly title does not matter. But you must have at least one character in a leadership position in order to remain qualified for a staff position.
IV. Only the sole sovereign (I.E. the highest title in the forum and staff) may grant leadership titles, unless the sole sovereign delegates this privilege to specific individuals.
